MELVINDALE — A man who may have been under the influence of narcotics the night of April 24 was banned from Clark gas station, 19645 Allen Road, where he was reportedly bothering customers.
The man, who was agitated, claimed to be a customer, but had no purchases in hand, and requested a single cigar from the sales clerk, who wanted the man banned from the store.
The man did not smell of alcohol, but his pupils were dilated, and his mood and demeanor were erratic. He declined to be evaluated by emergency medical technicians.
When the man stepped outside the store, he was told that he was no longer welcome on site, and advised that he could be arrested if he returned. Police officers stayed in the area long enough to ensure that the man did not try to return.
