WYANDOTTE — A 25-year-old Wyandotte woman who was swerving at a high rate of speed about 2 a.m. May 14 in the 1500 block of Biddle Avenue was arrested for operating while intoxicated, with a blood-alcohol content more than three-times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

The driver had a delayed reaction to the patrol vehicle’s flashing lights, which indicate an initiated traffic stop, and subsequently parked halfway on the sidewalk.

She had trouble speaking coherently, and had difficulty standing, with a police officer supporting her to prevent her from falling. She was then taken to the police station, where she was booked and held.
