RIVERVIEW — An employee at Slip Mahoney’s Bar and Grill called police officers the night of May 17 when a drunken customer, a 47-year-old Southgate woman, crashed into an employee’s vehicle in the parking lot.

The customer causing the damage was unsteady on her feet, and had difficulty focusing. She admitted to having had several alcoholic drinks at the bar.

She failed multiple standard field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood alcohol content of 0.222, almost three times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

She was arrested for operating while intoxicated, her vehicle was impounded and towed, and she was booked and held.
