TRENTON — A two-vehicle crash June 16 on Grosse Ile Parkway east of Jefferson Avenue has left one person injured, a Police Department spokesperson said.

Officers responded to the crash about 9:55 a.m. and rendered aid to the injured person.

Fire Department assistance was requested to transport the injured 59-year-old Grosse Ile Township resident to a local hospital for treatment, after which Grosse Ile Parkway was reopened to vehicular traffic.

The Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.

“No further details will be released at this time, as this is an active investigation,” the department spokesperson said.
