WYANDOTTE — A 53-year-old Hazel Park man was found lying in the roadway in the 3300 block of 8th Street the morning of June 26, with his motorcycle atop him.
The man, who smelled of intoxicants, was awoken by a police officer and checked for injuries by fire department personnel.
However, when the man was loaded into an ambulance, he became physically violent, punching and kicking the ambulance door and demanding to be released. However, even after he was removed from the ambulance, he continued to be aggressive and uncooperative.
He was arrested for operating while intoxicated, his fourth offense, which is a felony.
The man refused to take a preliminary breath test, so a search warrant was obtained for a blood draw at a local medical facility. He is awaiting formal charges.
