MELVINDALE — A blue Polaris 4-wheel all-terrain vehicle was impounded and towed the evening of July 4 after a police officer saw it being driven east on Oakwood Boulevard near Strong Middle School.

In Michigan, ATVs are not considered motor vehicles, and Michigan roads used for year-round automobile travel are usually closed to ATVs.

The driver was cited and told to contact 24th District Court for an appearance date.
