HEIGHTS — An identity thief opened an AT&T account in a 48-year-old Dearborn Heights man’s name, running up a $1,053 unpaid account balance, for which the victim filed a police report July 7.

The victim said he learned of the identity theft when Experian informed him that his credit score had dropped. There were no suspects. He was advised to continue to monitor his accounts.
