ALLEN PARK — The theft of three bags of mulch and a lithium battery starter kit, with a cumulative value of $156, was thwarted July 12 by loss prevention personnel at Home Depot, 3163 Fairlane Drive.
The shoplifter, whose actions were recorded on surveillance camera footage, filled up a shopping cart with the items, and attempted to leave via the lumber exit without rendering payment. He was cited for retail fraud and released at the scene.
