DEARBORN — An uninsured Dearborn man was cited for careless driving the night of July 25 after a plain clothes police officer in the special operations unit saw him squealing his vehicle’s tires as he rapidly accelerated at Warren Avenue and Schaefer Road, then observed as he swerved in and out of traffic lanes without signaling.
The unmarked police vehicle continued to monitor the driver until a marked police vehicle was able to conduct a traffic stop.
The man was irate at being stopped, but was unable to produce insurance for his black 2010 Ford Escape, which was impounded and towed.
