WYANDOTTE — A 30-year-old man was arrested on drug charges at 1:06 a.m. Aug. 26 after crack cocaine and a large amount of cash were found in his vehicle following a high-speed chase.

A police officer activated his lights and sirens after they saw the man disregard a yield sign at Chestnut and 15th streets, but the man accelerated and refused to pull over, and ran a red light at 15th Street and Superior Boulevard. The police officer continued pursuit until the driver stopped.

The driver was arrested, and his passenger, an adult woman, was released at the scene.
