WYANDOTTE — A 36-year-old Wyandotte man was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing the police the night of Sept. 19 following reports that a man in the 1800 block of 7th Street was shouting insults, pounding on a parked vehicle and displaying other violent behavior.
When police officers arrived, the man initially tried to flee by bicycle, and refused commands to stop. When the officers chased him, he abandoned the bicycle and attempted to run off.
The man then tried to enter a nearby residence, at which point the pursuing police officers were able to overpower and handcuff him.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content that was more than three times the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
