DEARBORN — A Detroit man’s white 2015 Hyundai CPE was impounded at 2:36 a.m. Nov. 27 near Wyoming and Michigan avenues after he was stopped a second time for speeding that night in Dearborn.

The car, which was being driven at 85 mph in a 35-mph zone on northbound Wyoming Avenue near Eagle Street, was swerving in and out of traffic.

A traffic stop was initiated and the driver said he was in a hurry to get his passenger home. When a record check revealed an earlier stop that evening for speeding, the citing police officer arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was the same driver.

The vehicle was impounded and towed and the driver was advised to contact 19th District Court for an appearance date. He and his passenger were then given courtesy rides home.
