ALLEN PARK — A driver waiting to turn left from Southfield Road to Roosevelt Avenue at 12:09 a.m. Nov. 12 reported that the pickup ahead of her in the turn lane abruptly stopped, shifted to reverse and backed into her vehicle, damaging the front end.

The driver then fled in their silver 2007 GMC Sierra. The victim, in a burgundy 2020 Jeep Cherokee, took a photo of the offender’s license plate before they left the scene. The registered owner of the pickup is a Riverview resident.

The victim was unharmed. The case has been turned over to the detective bureau pending investigation.
