TAYLOR — Counterfeit money – six $50 bills and one $20 bill – were given to a 28-year-old Taylor man who was selling a television through Facebook Marketplace.

The victim did not realize the currency was fake until the buyer, who was driving a black Ford Fusion, left his residence with the television.

The buyer was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 120 pounds.

Police personnel confirmed that the bills were counterfeit. The victim had video footage of the buyer, but the man’s face was covered with a mask during the transaction.
