WYANDOTTE — A 24-year-old Lincoln Park man was arrested for operating while intoxicated at 3:39 a.m. Nov. 28 after police officers saw him run a red light while driving west on Goddard Road at Fort Street.
As police officers attempted to catch up with the speeding driver, he ran a stop sign at Howard Street.
When a traffic stop was implemented at Goddard Road and Dix Road, the man, who had an open container of beer in his vehicle’s cupholder, displayed signs of intoxication.
A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content one-and-a-half times higher than the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
