A Giving Tree is on display in the lobby of the Melvindale City Hall, 3100 Oakwood Blvd., to collect new hats, gloves and scarves for local children in need. Those wishing to help decorate the holiday tree with goodwill and much-needed warmth should drop off items from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
