HEIGHTS — An identity thief opened a Capital One credit card account in December 2020 and charged $4,176 to the card before it went into collection Dec. 1, 2022, and the victim became aware of the debt.
The identity thief misspelled the victim’s last name. The woman was unable to provide any transaction information. There were no suspects.
