WYANDOTTE — A 37-year-old Grand Rapids man with a history of substance abuse was arrested the night of Nov. 26 when his disruptive behavior caused his host to ask him to leave his residence in the 3500 block of 14th Street, since the host believed that the man was under the influence of a controlled substance.
The man refused to leave the residence, and the responding police officers removed him from a closet in which he was hiding.
Once the man was outside, he refused to leave the area, and stood nearby, shouting obscenities. Police officers tried to get the man’s father to pick him up, but he refused to intervene, and said his son was not welcome in his home.
Police officers then arrested the man for disorderly conduct and took him into custody.
