MELVINDALE — An integrated circuit card computer was discovered stolen from under the hood of a semi-truck Nov. 28 after it had been parked since the day before Thanksgiving at the Detroit Regional Distribution Center, 17801 Dix Road in Melvindale.

The owner of the truck said the unit costs about $3,000, and the truck cannot operate without it.

The responding police officer noticed that there were surveillance cameras on site that might have captured footage of the theft.
