WYANDOTTE — A traffic stop was initiated at 4th and Bondie streets the night of Dec. 5 for a 42-year-old Wyandotte man who, a day earlier, was a domestic assault suspect and who was known by the police officer to not have a driver’s license.
The man, however, accelerated and tried to escape. He eventually abandoned his vehicle and took off on foot in the 200 block of Riverbank Street, then ran into a nearby apartment.
Because the man’s identity is known, he was charged in absentia with resisting and obstructing, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
