MELVINDALE — A neighborhood noise complaint was filed the morning of Oct. 8 when a resident in the 18200 block of Ruth Avenue complained that his neighbor was intentionally pointing speakers toward his house from his backyard.
The resident amplifying his music said he was familiar with the city’s noise ordinance and he did not believe that he was in violation. He contended that the music he was playing was not that loud.
The responding officer could hear the music from the complainant’s yard, but did not think it was excessively loud. However, the police officer could not verify if the amplifiers were inside or outside, nor could they determine where they were pointed.
