DEARBORN — The Dearborn Schools Board of Education reorganizational and regular meeting for January has been moved to Jan. 10.
The meeting is also being moved up to 6:30 p.m.
The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 9, but that is the first day students and most staff are back after the two-week holiday break. The extra day will give administrators and staff a bit more time to prepare for the board meeting.
The January school board meeting is also when trustees traditionally elect the new board officers for the year. The reorganizational meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. to allow for the appointment of officers and for trustees to change seats to represent their new roles.
The regular board meeting will start at 7 p.m. Both meetings will be in the boardroom at the Administrative Service Center, 18700 Audette St. The public is invited to attend or view the meetings live on the district’s cable television channel, YouTube channel or Facebook page. The meeting agenda can be found the Friday before the meeting on the board’s web page.
