TAYLOR — The attempted theft of a Bobcat Skid Steer loader at 4 a.m. Dec. 12 from the Rich Gas Station, 25745 Ecorse Road, was unsuccessful, but left the door window glass smashed and the ignition switch torn out.
The complainant, who works for Mid-Michigan Station Service, said the Skid Steer was parked next to a gas pump over the weekend, adjacent to where work was occurring.
Surveillance camera footage shows an unknown male entering the area from the direction of the nearby Robinwood Estates. He is seen breaking the door window, and is seen inside the Skid Steer until he leaves a few minutes later, and walks back in the direction he came.
The surveillance footage imagery was of poor quality and did not provide detailed information capable of identifying a suspect.
