WYANDOTTE — A 21-year-old Wyandotte man who attempted to flee a restaurant in the 800 block of Biddle Avenue on Dec. 16 without paying his bill was tracked down by police officers at his residence to settle his account.
The man was reportedly causing a disturbance and attempting to start a fight with other patrons before he fled without paying his tab.
Deputy Police Chief Archie Hamilton said that while the $18 bill might not seem like a lot of money, restaurant employees work extremely hard for their pay and “deal with a lot of nonsense.”
It’s important that our officers do everything possible to recover potential losses and deter others from stealing from our service workers,” he said.
