TAYLOR — A 36-year-old Lincoln Park woman was cited for retail theft the night of Dec. 14 when she attempted to shoplift from Walmart, 7555 Telegraph Road in Taylor, by concealing items inside a drinking cup to pass them through the self-scan lane without paying for them.
Loss prevention personnel recorded her fraud on surveillance camera footage. The items stolen had a $43 retail value.
The woman, who said the theft was accidental, was cited for third degree retail fraud and released at the scene.
