HEIGHTS — The steering wheel and air bag assembly of a 2018 Chevy Malibu was stolen for a second time, a vehicle owner reported Dec. 9, from the 6300 block of University Drive.
The victim said the driver’s side window was smashed to gain access to the vehicle.
The woman said a suspicious vehicle was reported to the police department prior to the steering wheel theft, but she did not know if it was connected to the theft.
An evidence technician arrived to the scene to dust for fingerprints on the driver’s side door and the driver’s side mirror.
