RIVERVIEW — A 23-year-old Brownstown Township man who was cited for causing a two-vehicle crash at Fort Street and Sibley Road was found to have a suspended driver’s license as well as an active arrest warrant in nearby Trenton.
The collision occurred when a woman driving a black Chevy Equinox was rear-ended by a man driving a Ford Escape. Fortunately, neither driver was injured.
The woman’s car had rear end damage, but was drivable, and after providing identification and being cleared through the Law Enforcement Information Network, she was released at the scene.
The man’s car had heavy front end damage, and was impounded and towed. He was cited for driving with a suspended license and for failing to stop within an assured clear distance, and he was held until a Trenton police officer arrived to take him into custody for the active warrant.
