RIVERVIEW — A 29-year-old Detroit man with outstanding warrants from four local cities had his car impounded and towed Jan. 5 following a traffic stop for his vehicle being driven without a valid license plate.
The man had a suspended driver’s license and did not have car insurance or a vehicle registration. A search of the Law Enforcement Information Network revealed that the man had four prior convictions for driving while his license was suspended. He was told to contact 27th District Court for a hearing date, and was advised on his outstanding warrants with Brownstown Township, Allen Park, Dearborn and the Wayne State University campus.
He was then given a courtesy ride the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, where his girlfriend was currently a patient.
