DEARBORN — A 23-year-old man from Brooklyn, N.Y., was cited for reckless driving Jan. 22 after he was seen doing burnouts and speeding on Greenfield Road in a gray 2018 Dodge Charger.
Because the driver’s father, who lives in New York, was the legal owner of the vehicle and would be required to be present to retrieve the vehicle from impound, the young man was allowed to park the car in a nearby parking lot instead of it being impounded and towed.
He was advised to contact 19th District Court for a hearing date and was released from the scene.
