ALLEN PARK — A con artist purporting to be an employee of the Social Security Administration tricked a woman on Jan. 19 into providing her Social Security, driver’s license and bank account numbers.

The victim said no new accounts have yet to be opened in her name and no money has been transferred from her current bank account. She was advised to contact her financial institution and the Social Security Administration to make them aware of the incident.
