RIVERVIEW — A 44-year-old Wyandotte driver with an expired license plate was taken into custody the morning of Jan. 27 for an outstanding Southgate arrest warrant.
The man, who was driving south on Jefferson Avenue near Pennsylvania Road, had a 2022 registration sticker on his license plate. A traffic stop was initiated, and the man acknowledged that he knew the plate was expired, and said he was making payments on his car insurance.
When his identification was checked, it was discovered that his driver’s license was suspended. Southgate police officials opted to take the man into custody for the outstanding warrant. The man’s car was impounded and towed.
