MELVINDALE — A 30-year-old Detroit man pretending to be a DTE worker was cited for unlicensed soliciting the afternoon of Feb. 2 after a resident reported the man going door-to-door in the area of Henry and Gough streets.
Police officers confirmed with DTE that they had no personnel working in the area.
When the man was approached, he was found to have numerous outstanding warrants, including one for soliciting in Westland.
He was cited, told to leave the area and advised to contact 24th District Court for an appearance date.
