RIVERVIEW — A purple Dodge Challenger was reported stolen at 5:10 a.m. Feb. 18 from a residential area, along with $2,000 worth of Snap-On work tools stored in the trunk.

The victim said he heard the vehicle being stolen and immediately reported it to Riverview police officers.

Glass was found on the ground where the car was parked, indicating that a window was likely smashed to gain entry.

The car was spotted by Brownstown Township police officers as it left Sibley Road to enter northbound I-75 at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen.
