ALLEN PARK — A Redford Township contractor with a self-professed gambling problem was cited for retail fraud the morning of Feb. 27 at Lowe’s, 23111 Outer Drive.

The man was seen shoplifting on surveillance camera footage when he concealed four category 6 ethernet cable connectors, collectively valued at $260, on his person. When the man attempted to leave the store at the lumber exit without paying for the items, he was stopped and detained. He said he recently lost a lot of money at a casino and needed the items to finish a job.
