LINCOLN PARK — A black Harley-Davidson jewelry box, valued at $150, and necklaces, rings, bracelets and war medals, collectively valued at $2,000, were reported stolen Feb. 28 from the basement of a house in the 1400 block of Euclid Avenue.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, said the jewelry box was stored in the basement under some luggage. He said there were no signs of forced entry into the house. He said one of the house’s residents had recently lost his keys, which might have been used by someone to gain entry.

The man provided police officers with photos of the stolen items. He was told to check local pawn shops for the articles and was encouraged to share any further information he came across with the police detective bureau.
