DEARBORN — An apartment dweller upset at the noisy neighbor above him kicked and damaged the person’s door the morning of Feb. 20 in the 9900 block of Whittington Street.

The allegedly noisy neighbor called police when the neighbor in the apartment below him, whom he has reported in the past, came up to his apartment, kicking the door and yelling.

The angry man said the person above him has repeatedly woken him up with his noisy behavior. He denied kicking the door until police officers pointed out that the footprint on the door matched his shoes. The man then admitted to kicking the door, but claimed that the damage observed was pre-existing.

The man was cited for causing damage to property and was told to contact 19th District Court for an appearance date.
