MELVINDALE — The driver of an uninsured Chrysler Town and Country minivan crashed it into a tree Feb. 19 near the intersection of Greenfield Road and Prospect Street.

The man, whose nose was bleeding, was in and out of consciousness and unable to answer questions.

A check of the Law Enforcement Information Network indicated that the license plate, which was confiscated, was invalid due the vehicle being uninsured.

The minivan was impounded and towed, and a citation was mailed to the address on file for the driver with the Secretary of State office.
