SOUTHGATE — An active alarm and lights on that should have been off initiated a police officer investigation at 12:55 a.m. April 10 at Downriver Coney Island, 15612 Fort St.

The owner asked the officers to check out the restaurant, because the dining room lights were on when he arrived, then went out before he could enter the business.

The police officers found no one inside the business, nothing missing and no signs of forced entry. The owner said that the problem might be caused by an electrical power problem.
