RIVERVIEW — A 41-year-old Trenton woman was arrested for drunken driving the evening of April 26 after another driver called 911 after seeing the driver of a burgundy Mercury Sable traveling north on Fort Street, approaching Sibley Road, weaving in and out of their traffic lane.
Shortly afterward, a call came in to 911 of a crash in a nearby Taco Bell drive-through lane involving a burgundy Mercury Sable.
The woman admitted to drinking beer earlier. Her speech was slow and slurred and her eyes were glossy and bloodshot.
She failed multiple standardized field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was administered, and the woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.216, more than twice the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.
Her vehicle was impounded and towed. She was taken into custody and was cited for operating while intoxicated.
