HEIGHTS — A bottle of liquor valued at $360 was stolen April 17 from The Vinery liquor store, 3976 Pelham Road, when the thief concealed it inside the waistband of his pants and zipped up his coat in an attempt to conceal the bulge.

The man paid for his other items at the cash register before leaving the store and driving off in a black Volkswagen sport utility vehicle. Store personnel recovered the vehicle’s license plate from surveillance footage and provided it to the responding police officer.

The man was described as black and wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket, black shorts, white shoes and a black baseball cap.
