SOUTHGATE — An adult who waited in his vehicle for a lone player to be picked up in the parking lot at Southgate Anderson High School April 6, following a girls’ soccer match with Riverview High School, made the girl feel uncomfortable.

The student called her mother on her cell, who asked a police officer to check out the situation. The girl said the man never approached her or said anything to her.

The man waiting in the vehicle said the student’s coach left before she was picked up, which left him concerned. All parties left the scene without further incident.
