ALLEN PARK — A white Dodge Challenger with black racing stripes and no license plate ran a red light on northbound Southfield Road near I-94 on April 23, after which it fled from an attempted police traffic stop at speeds ranging from 120 to 135 mph.
A police officer in a fully marked patrol car with lights and siren pursued the vehicle to the area of Oakwood Boulevard, at which time the pursuit was terminated in the interest of public safety. However, a bulletin was issued to other patrol officers along the route to be on the lookout for the vehicle and driver.
