LINCOLN PARK — A white 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup was reported stolen without its keys the evening of May 1 from the 1800 block of Warwick Avenue.

The victim said the vehicle hadn’t been driven for about three weeks because he hadn’t had time to transfer the license plates attached to it to the Silverado, which he planned to allow his son to use when he did.

The pickup was stolen between 3:41 and 5:43 p.m. May 1 while the owner was gone shopping. He said no family members had taken it, he didn’t owe any money on it and the keys were still inside his residence.

There was no broken glass near where it was parked, and the responding police officers did not see any nearby surveillance cameras.

The vehicle was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen. A check of intersection automatic license plate reading cameras did not indicate any hits for the license plate number.
