DEARBORN — A man in Army fatigues with a dark-colored backpack set off an alarm the afternoon of April 16 while exiting Staples, 23131 Michigan Ave.
A store manager said the man did not activate an alarm when he entered the store, and noted that the man’s backpack looked fuller when he exited the establishment.
She said the store’s general manager is the only person who can access the in-store surveillance camera footage, and said they will forward any relevant recordings to the police detective bureau.
Police officers searched the area for the man, who was described as black, in his 40s, tall, slender and with black hair with a white streak, but were unable to locate him.
