ALLEN PARK — A man who attempted to steal two 7-piece ratchet wrench sets, collectively valued at $100, from Lowe’s Home Improvement, 23111 Outer Drive, on April 28 was stopped by loss prevention personnel after being surveilled.

The man removed the wrenches from the packaging and wrapped them inside his coat, which he placed in the seating area of his shopping cart. He then paid for some lumber and attempted to leave the store without paying for the wrenches.

He was cited for retail fraud and banned from the store.
