HEIGHTS — A black backpack containing a cell phone, a Dell touch screen laptop and a wallet with credit cards was stolen Dec. 20 from the front seat of an unlocked vehicle while the victim was inside a nearby restaurant in the 26400 block of Ford Road waiting to pick up a carryout order.
The victim said his attention was focused on a call on his other cell phone when he was waiting for his order, and he did not notice anyone near his vehicle.
He said that he canceled his credit cards.
