TAYLOR — A resident at an assisted living facility threw his phone at a staff member, injuring her face the morning of Jan. 11 when he became upset that he was losing an Uno card game.
The care worker, a 24-year-old Inkster woman, had swelling on her upper left lip and a laceration on her inner upper left lip where the man’s cell phone hit her in the face. She was evaluated by fire department emergency medical technicians, who determined no additional treatment was needed.
The man, who swore at the care workers present during the initial altercation, was charged with aggravated/felonious assault and taken into custody.
