DEARBORN – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men’s basketball team could be playoff-bound if they defeat Ohio’s Defiance College at 3 p.m. Feb. 22 at the UM-D fieldhouse.

Head Coach Domenic Policicchio III said a win Saturday would send the team to the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference playoffs for the first time since 2017. The Wolverines are 5-14 in conference play, and 7-20 overall.

Two players in the spotlight include Divine Child High School alum and UM-D sophomore Jackson Reynolds, and UM-D senior captain Joshua Warren, a Wayne County Community College alum.

“It’s been a really big accomplishment for us and we’re really excited,” Policicchio said. “We’re really hoping for some solid community support on Saturday.”

Admission is $5.
