RIVERVIEW — A 24-year-old Detroit man who was subject to a traffic stop for driving 54 mph in a 40-mph zone the night of April 16 on Pennsylvania Road was found to have a suspended driver’s license.

While the traffic stop was being conducted, a woman was seen walking toward the vehicle. She said the car belonged to her, and the man was picking her up.

The man was cited for speeding and for driving with a suspended license, and was told to contact 27th District Court for an appearance date.

The car was then turned over to the woman, who did have a valid driver’s license.
