RIVERVIEW — A 28-year-old Riverview man who was subject to a traffic stop June 4 for having an expired license plate was found to lack vehicle insurance and a valid driver’s license.
The man, who was driving north on Fort Street near Longsdorf Avenue in a blue Chevy Equinox, had an expired April 2025 tab on his license plate.
The vehicle registration was also expired. The Equinox was impounded and towed, and the man was cited for driving with a suspended license, for lacking vehicle insurance, and for driving with an expired license plate. He was then given a courtesy ride to his Riverview residence.
